Thank you very much to all the amazing parents who helped put on this wonderful evening. This has been a difficult time for all of us and it was an absolute blessing to have some time together as a community having fun. Pacific Heights is a fantastic school and I am so proud to be a teacher here.
To celebrate our time with Mrs.Roberts and conclude our wonderful unit on Mo Willems books we had a hot dog party in division 11! It was so much fun! We had hotdogs and watched Don’t Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late. Mrs. Roberts made amazing pigeon cupcakes. Liam thinks she is very creative and we all agree. We also made super cool pigeon hats!
We have had a wonderful time sharing our learning journey with Mrs. Roberts. Thank you for the fun party and the many wonderful memories!
Mrs.Whyte even stopped by with Knuffle Bunny and read us one more Mo Willems story.
Division 11 loves Mo Willems!
On a sunny Thursday morning the grade one students from Pacific Heights Elementary boarded a bus and made our way to Science World! It was a wonderful day full of excitement and learning. We explored the various exhibits in small groups and attended a workshop to learn about chickens.
Nicko was chosen as a volunteer to help us learn about the physical features of chickens. He was awesome!
Lily, Rayhan, Cole, Sienna and Serena helped demonstrate a food web. We learned that the sun provides energy for all living things.
Thank you to all our parents volunteers who took part in this fantastic day!
We had a wonderful time exploring the forest on our field trip with Lynn and Friends of Semiahmoo Bay. Armed with binoculars and fuelled by the warm sun we set out in search of local birds.
Such a beautiful day!
We had a special visitor in Division 11 today. Lynn from Friends of Semiahmoo came to teach us about local birds. He showed us pictures of many different birds such as the Stellars Jay and Coopers Hawk. Did you know that Boundary Bay is the most important area for birds in Canada? We will be going on a field trip to Elgin Heritage Park where we will become birders and explore the forest.
